Big Discussion of Changes Off and On the Pitch at Villa Park

So, what’s been happening in the Villa universe this month, since the transfer window swung open and all eyes turned to the 2017/18 season?

Well, there’s been hundreds of rehashed stories being churned out by the football media and local press in the past few weeks about potential comings and goings at Villa. But the reality is very little has ACTUALLY HAPPENED.

John Terry has signed, and that’s about it. Rather than waste your time by on pushing out posts and podcasts addressing every half-ar*ed rumour, when it comes to Villa news, MOMS prefer to serve you proper steak without the gristle.

In the first My Old Man Said podcast episode of the month, we focus on real change behind the scenes at Villa Park, that the latest Fan Consultation Group meeting at Villa Park, that MOMS was at, highlighted. Our thoughts and insights in a big discussion on that meeting can be heard in full in the latest episode.

Also, we take a look at John Terry and what his signing means off the pitch for Villa, before he even kicks a ball.

Also, the keeper situation is addressed. Will the incoming Sam Johnstone be enough?

Also, there’s glory for Bacuna, the return of Villa CEO Keith Wyness after his ban, Tony Xia’s heart surgery and the pressing need for promotion to prevent Villa slipping into a nadir

There’s also ‘Twitter With Tony’ and a host of other laughs throughout the podcast show that one Villa supporter labelled this week as ‘a shining diamond in the sh*t that is modern football.’

  1. Finally Johnstone has signed, I would be interested to know if there’s a buy option at the end of the loan otherwise we will be back to square A. I think that we only need one more signing and Ashley Young would be great.
