Aston Villa Confirm When the Emiliano Buendia Transfer Will be Completed

Aston Villa Confirm Emiliano Buendia Transfer

Aston Villa today confirmed that they have reached an agreement for the transfer of Emiliano Buendia and that the transfer will be completed after Argentina’s World Cup qualifying match against Colombia on Tuesday.

Villa are reported to have beaten off the interest of Arsenal in the pursuit of the Norwich City playmaker and the serendipity of him being away in the same international squad as Villa keeper Emiliano Martinez is not lost on fans; surely he would have only helped get the transfer over the line.

The deal is thought to be costing Villa circa £33m with add-ons and a sell-on clause, while the player is reported to be receiving a £80,000-a-week five-year deal.
