Aston Villa Hit With Mass Fixture Changes in October

Aston Villa Sky TV Fixture Changes

The recent announcement of the Premier League’s fixture changes, saw five of Aston Villa’s Premier League fixtures in October move dates.

Oh the joys of having paid a 10% to 50% price increase on your season ticket, not knowing at the time, if you’ll actually be able to attend the eventual match dates due to multiple changes.

A small consolation was at least the announcement was made on time, for change.

Four of Villa’s October fixtures were selected for live television broadcast, with a further match also moved from its original Saturday 3pm slot.

Villa kick off the month against Leeds United at Elland Road at a new date of Sunday, October 2 (kick-off TBC) and it will be broadcast on Sky Sports.

Then their trip to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest has been pushed back to Monday, October 10 (8pm) and will also be seen on Sky Sports.

Another Sky Sports fixture is Chelsea’s visit to B6, now scheduled for Sunday, October 16 (2pm ko).

Villa’s trip to Craven Cottage to play Fulham is now on Thursday, October 20 at 7:30pm and will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video, as previously announced.

The last fixture change sees Brentford’s trip to Villa Park moved back to Sunday, October 23 (2pm ko).

  1. “Football without fans is nothing” they said during the Covid lockdown.

Now things are back to normal, so is the attitude towards fans. Sod the supporters and keep Sky Sports / BT Sports happy, even if the fans are inconvenienced.
