Aston Villa Pre-Season Fixtures 2018

With all the recent talk of dates with HMRC and various financial institutions, you could almost forget that the club’s main dates for the diary are normally for football matches.

Over the past week, several Aston Villa pre-season fixtures have been announced for the summer of 2018 and are all detailed below.

Coin Flip

Aston Villa away fans will have to do a coin-flip if they decide to go to one of the two matches on Saturday 14th July that both kick-off at 3pm. One will take place against Telford, while the other half of the squad will take on Kidderminster, in a double-friendly fixture day that mirrors previous seasons.

Villa Holiday

For fans looking to combine holidays with a Villa match on the continent, Dresden in Germany is the only offering so far. Villa will face Bundesliga second division outfit Dynamo Dresden, on Saturday 28th July.

Villa Park Fixture?

With Villa Park having a new pitch laid down over the close season it is unlikely there will be a fixture before the new season kicks-off. Inter Milan had approached the club for a fixture, that would have taken place a week before the new season, but the club were unable to entertain it due to the new grass being laid.
