Back to Burton

While most of the local and national press seemed to be queuing up at Birmingham airport to wave Jack Grealish off to Spurs preseason USA tour, with articles saying he would be gone by this weekend, the Villa midfielder, as MOMS expected lines up against Burton today.

Also in the Villa team against Burton is James Chester, who the Media Muppets have been trying to deliver to Stoke, despite the club saying no bids have been received.

Villa again play the best XI they have available, as Steve Bruce dispenses with the experimental to get Villa focused as a unit to kick-off the season with intent.

It’s hoped Burton will pose a tougher test than a lacklustre Walsall team, who rarely seemed interested in the recent Villa 4-1 win.

  1. This is all a load of crap first we read AV are bracing themselves for an official offer for Grealish a few mins later we are reading all outgoing transfers are on hold, it’s just a case of the media making it up as they go along again, but then again there’s nothing unusual about that, however it does seem that transfers are on hold until Tuesday at least, this on instructions from our new owners, so maybe Jack and Chester will stay after all.
