Aston Villa vs Liverpool Date Double Switch?
Aston Villa will have to wait until the result of this weekend’s FA Cup six round clash between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool to see whether the newly proposed date of their Premier League home clash with Liverpool will go ahead.
The Villa Park fixture with Jurgen Klopp’s team had recently moved to the Sky Sports 5.30pm slot on Saturday, April 16, but that is the weekend the FA Cup semi-finals will take place.
If Liverpool avoid a shock result against Keinan Davis and Forest this Sunday, then a new date will be needed.
No doubt, Sky Sports will still be keen to screen it with the obviously Steven Gerrard and Liverpool connection.
Villa’s league match against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, April 9, also selected for Sky Sports is also subject to potential change, if Liverpool play their Benfica Champions’ League clash on Tuesday, April 12. If they do, then the B6 game will then be moved to take place on Sunday, April 10 at 4:30pm.
