Aston Villa’s Trip to Tottenham Changes Time and No Away Fans Confirmed

Spurs vs Aston Villa Confirmed

Aston Villa’s Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur has been brought forward a couple of hours on Wednesday, May 19 to a 6pm kick off time. It has also been confirmed that there will be no away fans at the last two rounds of Premier League football.

The government had given the Premier League the option of having up to 500 away fans, but ultimately the Premier League decided against the notion.

“Following consultation with clubs, it was agreed matches would not be open to away supporters due to varying operational challenges across the league and the need to deliver a consistent approach, while maximising the opportunity for home-fan attendance,” a Premier League statement said.

Villa’s final away match of the 2020/21 season, against Spurs, will screen live on Sky Sports.

There has also been a change to the kick-off time for Villa’s home clash against Everton, which will also kick-off at the earlier time of 6pm, again on Sky Sports.

The ticket details for Villa’s final match of the season at home to Chelsea on Sunday, May 23, have been announced with arrangements now confirmed for the return of supporters to Villa Park.

In other news, Aston Villa’s FA Youth Cup semi-final has been scheduled for 6pm Friday, May 14. The match will be broadcast live on BT Sport.
