The star performing teams, October Manager of the Month and the hot fantasy players at the moment
So, 10 weeks have passed, and the Premier League table is starting to take shape. However, whilst Villa can claim to have had fixtures (and arguably referees) against them, those of us in the Fantasy Premier League can’t quite claim the same injustices. Here are the MOMS members league (of over 1000 teams) who are the current Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool of the fantasy world.
Leading the way as the Arsenal of the Premier League is Jim Hughes. Of course, the high scoring Luis Suarez was his captain for all three weeks of October. He is just outside of the top 1000 overall.
In second place is Darren Judge, who has captained Sturridge for the last three weeks. Suarez or Sturridge seems to be a key decision right now, and although Sturridge is £2m cheaper, many are switching to Suarez who has a habit of scoring big against the bottom half.
Speaking of Liverpool, in third place is Bob Hynes, with his team ‘Michu in De Gea Ba’. Captaining Özil over his vice captain Suarez cost him 14 points, which would have seen him joint top of the league. Decisions, decisions.

Fantasy Premier League Tips – In-form players
The ‘form’ tab in FPL shows the average points scored per game over the last 30 days. Here are the current leaders.
No surprises that Sergio Aguero leads the way, with an average of 14 points per game. 7 goals and 5 assists in his last 6 games means that Aguero is showing some of the form he showed in City’s title-winning season. He comes in at a price of 11.8, so it may be better to buy him sooner rather than later.
In second is Robin van Persie, at 10.3 points per game. Many FPL owners avoided van Persie due to his hefty £14m price tag. Although many have sold him, his price is still a massive £13.9m (essentially due to the flagging system they use in determining price changes). With so many good striking options around this season, van Persie may be scoring well, but is his price too much to justify investment?
In third are Luis Suarez and Wayne Rooney, at 9.7 points per game. Since returning from suspension, Suarez has added some bite into Liverpool’s attack – Liverpool scored 5 in 5 before he returned and 12 in 5 since he has come back. 6 goals and 2 assists for Suarez make him another player that is hard to leave out. Similarly priced with Aguero at 11.7, and with Rooney coming in at 10.9, it may be a case of picking and choosing which of these you can get into your team. I currently have Aguero and Rooney, so I’d suggest Suarez if you want to do well! With many cheaper options out there like Benteke and Lukaku, it may be a ‘wait and see’ approach for most of the season.
Finally, Vertonghen and Ramsey lead the way with 9 points per game in defence and midfield respectively. Despite Vertonghen moving to left-back and Ramsey dropping into the double pivot, their returns have continued. Vertonghen has picked up 3 clean sheets, an assist and 6 bonus points from left-back. Ramsey is owned by 56.2% of players, so it may be brave to go without him in his current form.
A final point is that many of the form players are defenders – clean sheets often mean bonus points so it is becoming essential to have some good defenders in your team. Southampton have only conceded 4 in 10, but despite playing Hull this week, their fixtures toughen up.
As for fixtures getting easier, we all know that Villa have had a tough start. Benteke at 8.8 appears mouthwatering – he was unlucky not to have scored in both of the Everton and West Ham games.
