Have Your Say on the New Aston Villa Loyalty Scheme

Improvements in supporter and club communication have taken huge steps in recent months at Aston Villa. From a fan consultation group and away ticket group that meets the club regularly for open and honest discussion to a chairman that is as transparent as they come on social media.

Recently, to help with day-to-day supporter issues, we’ve also had the implementation of a Villa fan support page on Twitter, something MOMS had proposed a long-time ago and was originally resisted by the club.

As part of further supporter outreach by the club, it is currently in the process of redeveloping and revamping its club loyalty scheme for supporters.

The club have had an external company in looking at and discussing various models of fan loyalty schemes and how loyalty should be rewarded, with the aim to create a more dynamic system than the existing and limited Villa Cash.

Three MOMS Patrons went to the initial meetings where case studies including the loyalty schemes at LA Galaxy and Boston Red Socks were discussed, as a precursor to a wider consultation of Aston Villa supporters.

The next stage of the development of a new club loyalty scheme is the widespread surveying of supporters.

ASTON VILLA LOYALTY SURVEY

After years of supporters complaining that the club doesn’t listen, it’s important to take advantage of this more progressive approach to supporters by the club and get involved where you can to help shape the future of the club going forward. Make it a habit to fill in surveys like this and get your voice across.

In MOMS experience, far too many supporters remain a passive voice on the sidelines when opportunity knocks in influencing decisions, only to then moan about a lack of engagement further down the line.

Get involved and hopefully we can all help make this club great once again.
