How to Get Refunds on Aston Villa Tickets

Ticketing Limbo

With the 2019/20 football season now in limbo due to the current global pandemic, it’s even hard to plan for next season, never mind complete the current one.

Aston Villa have understandably already postponed the early bird windows for season tickets for the 2020/21 season. Further information regarding those tickets will obviously be announced at a later date, as the nation gets a grasp on what the timeline and impact of COVID-19 will be.

When it comes to the remaining games of this season, Villa has currently suspended all future ticket sales due to the Premier League’s suspension (until at least April 30) and have closed the ticket office.

While any tickets purchased will remain valid for the rearranged fixtures, the big question is will those games ever be completed?

With that in mind, the club have provided details for supporters to obtain a refund.

Obtaining a Refund

As the club have stated:

If you have any queries or have purchased tickets online or over the phone and require a refund, supporters are encouraged to contact the ticket office via email at ticketsales@avfc.co.uk.

If your enquiry is urgent, phone lines will continue to be answered between 10am-4pm, Monday to Friday, by a skeleton staff working from home on 0333 323 1874.

Please be patient if you do not get through straight away, we will do our very best to help.

Details as to what will happen to season tickets and whether remaining home games will be rebated, if they are remain unplayed, will no doubt be announced once the end of season picture becomes clear.

No doubt the broadcasting companies will put pressure on the league to complete the season for contractual reasons, even if it’s behind closed doors.

Ultimately though, the current pandemic is a matter of life and death, which is more important than their monetary concerns.

  1. MOMS- I am in the U.S. What is the feeling over there re the league? Can they wait to play games in May and June? Just start next season on October 1st? Like you said re the TV sponsors; can’t see them NOT concluding this season.. UTV

    • There’s not going to be any play in May or even June by the looks of it. It’s suddenly a case of waiting and seeing. Obvious, if you aim to conclude this season, it’s going to seriously mess up next season. Maybe next season doesn’t happen, and this season is concluded in it’s space? If we’re in lockdown for six months, for example, it would then be a logical situation. The only issue is player contracts though.
