Latest Xia Equation Suggests Much Upcoming Transfer Activity Very Soon

Window Equation

You already know the routine with Tony Xia’s Twitter equations. A series of fan gifs in the comments of the tweet denoting confusion and a bunch of articles on the Birmingham Mail website in reaction, with headlines pretending that nobody has already seen the tweet.

MOMS doesn’t normally post about Tony Xia’s Twitter equations, as you can see them with your own eyes, but his latest one suggests Aston Villa will not be waiting around in the transfer window to get the final pieces in for Steve Bruce, for the season ahead.

There’s a couple of 100%’s, a 99.9%, a 99% and 95%, which suggests Villa’s communications department will be busy in the next seven days for ins and outs.

In

The 100% in, surely must be Ahmed Elmohamady judging by recent reports, but who’s the 99% man? Is it finally Glenn Whelan?

The equation also suggests that Villa are looking at various players for another position in the team, with one emerging as a favourite.

Out

Well, MOMS has got a long wish-list for players that need shipping out, that not even this equation could satisfy, but still, it looks promising that a few players will be moved on judging by the 100%, 99.9%, 95% and 90% in the minus percentages (which Xia normally uses to symbolise outgoings).

Tommy Elphick to the Blues and Aly Cissokho leaving would be an educated guess on the 100% & 99.9%. Surely Jordan Amavi is also close to finalising some kind of exit plan?

Will Jordan Verevout’s start against Shrewsbury, ultimately be a red herring in terms of him staying? Last week, you would have bet on him being one of the first out of the club this summer.

If his head is right and he’s up for the promotion cause, I’d keep Veretout, but I’m not convinced he tests positive for both of those conditions.

You could say the same about Ross McCormack. Another player that you’d be surprised if he was still a Villa player, come the end of the transfer window.

With Elmohamady coming in to play on the right-hand side, does Bruce really need three right-backs in the squad now (four, if you count Bacuna)? With the Egyptian able to play right wing-back too.

Surely the Villa boss wouldn’t already get rid of Bree or even loan him out to a rival. So what about Ritchie De Laet? Surely any buying team would want to make sure he’s fully recovered from his injury and see him in action first?

I’m not going to lie, if Villa shipped out Bacuna and Hutton, they’d be no tears shed here. Both players have been at the heart of Villa’s mediocrity in recent seasons. This may be wishful thinking though.

Getting rid of Micah Richards (who you could class as Villa’s 5th right-back currently on the books) would also be a big achievement considering his wages. Unfortunately though, it’s likely Villa will end up paying some percentage of them, if he does move on elsewhere.

While Xia’s equation suggests the transfer window is about to hot up for Villa, it’s a shame he doesn’t have an equation to give to Bruce to improve the way Villa currently play.

  1. think you’ve missed the /3 ! 99%= Elmahoudy,100% Johnstone + 1 other in which does not look close
As for the outs need a lot of gueswork there

I’ve a suspicion Elmahoudy is coming in as a winger Bruce has said he want 2 for every position & I’m thinking Adomah/Elmahoudy on right Green /Bjarnason on left would give the option to play with wingers which we’ve not had for a bit
