League Cup Freebie for Aston Villa Season Ticket Holders

Latics Freebie

Last season, the club announced that the first home cup game at Villa Park would be free for Aston Villa season ticket holders. As you’ll recall, Villa got knocked out of both cups in the first round of matches. Both were away games, which meant there were no freebies for any Villa supporters last season.

This season though, as soon as the League Cup 2nd round draw threw up the home tie versus Wigan, a lot of Villa supporters on social media wondered if the offer still applied?

Thankfully it does, with the club officially confirmingwith their ticket details announcement of the game that season ticket holders wouldn’t have to pay for the Wigan game.

The Wigan game will be automatically added to season cards, meaning supporters can just use their season card as normal to gain entry to Villa Park.

The game will take place on Tuesday August 22, with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Standard ticket prices are £15 (adults), £10 (concessions) and £5 (U16s).

Wigan currently have a 100% record with six points from two games in League One, and will pose a potential banana skin for a Villa team still finding its rhythm.

The free offer hopefully will avoid what potentially would have been an embarrassingly low attendance.
