My Old Man Said Podcast: Episode Two

Yes, we’ve managed to magic up a second episode of the My Old Man Said podcast.

We recorded this episode in the early hours of the night Villa got their first win of the season against Rotherham, so spirits were high.

There’s been a little delay to getting it out due to the time it takes to edit and the lack of available free time, which was further squashed by Tuesday’s night game and the Fans Consultation Group meeting with Doctor Xia (more of that in the next podcast).

Still, we managed to get a tribute to Dalian Atkinson in there, as well as our look at the first week of Villa’s Championship season, which includes: a look at Di Matteo’s squad rebuilding, a detailed look at the Villa defence and midfield, plus a focus on Rudy Gestede and James Chester, amongst others.

There’s also growing love for Tony Xia as we look at his hands-on approach in the first week of the season, plus there’s more ‘Twitter with Tony’ and Five Reasons to be Cheerful as Villa fans.

If you like the show, make sure you tell you Villa-supporting friends and also review and give us a ‘thumbs up’, ‘like’ or big star rating on iTunes to help spread the word and keep us inspired.
