Second Sell Out of the Season Expected as Villa Park Opens Trinity Upper

Blues

As expected Aston Villa will open up the Upper tier in the Trinity Road stand for the Second City derby on Sunday 25 November 2018 (12 noon kick-off).

Like the recent game against Swansea City, which was Dean Smith’s first as Villa Head Coach, the Blues derby is expected to be a sellout.

Birmingham City have already sold out their full allocation of 2,100 tickets (includes 2,084 seated tickets and eight pairs of wheelchair spaces and companion tickets).

Villa Season Ticket Holders who previously sat in Trinity Road Upper and who’d like to relocate for this clash have until 5pm on Thursday to reclaim their old seat.

From Friday at 5pm, they’ll be on sale to supporters with an Aston Villa booking history from the 2012/13 season onwards.

Rest of the Season

The upper tier will remain closed though for the other forthcoming November home games against both Bolton and Nottingham Forest.

An upturn in results will be needed to open the Trinity Upper on a regular basis. If Villa are in the run-in for promotion come the final months of the season, then that would be expected to be enough to prompt the opening.

After the Blues game, the next time it could be open would be the final home game before Christmas on Saturday 22nd December, when Leeds United come to town.
