Second City Derby Plans

It’s the time of the season again when Villa Park is segregated by a temporary wall of police vehicles and you have to show your passport to move around the vicinity of the stadium. Yes, it’s the Second City derby!

Last season’s Villa vs Blues policing arrangements were largely viewed as a success or at the very least, a necessary evil. The policing ethos was also put into play when Millwall visited Villa Park, towards the end of 2017.

The policing operation at Villa Park has proved to be a lot smoother than what has happened at St Andrew’s, especially this season, when Villa fans were held for over an hour.

The information below (as detailed on the club’s website) is very much the same as what was in place for last season’s game, but it’s worth giving it the once over, if you haven’t already, to make sure there’s minimal disruption on the day.
