The first wave of press for the Villa supporters idea of a ‘Villa vs Celtic for Stan’ charity tribute testimonial match, has happen. Already the word is out to millions of people, nationally and internationally.

Also, My Old Man Said members in Bulgaria have informed me there was widespread press coverage in Bulgaria for the idea of the match too (always interesting to see how they spell ‘My Old Man Said’ in Bulgarian).

Please find links below.

It’s been mentioned several times on Talksport  and also on local radio in Birmingham and Glasgow too.

Then of course, across Aston Villa and Celtic online sites and forums – MOMS would like to thank to the admins and members of Heroes and Villans (www.heroesandvillains.info), Talk Celtic (talkceltic.net), Celtic Quick News (celticquicknews.co.uk) and Kerrydale Street (www.kerrydalestreet.co.uk)

Thanks also to both Villa and Celtic fans on twitter too for spreading the word, and hopefully you’ll keep spreading it.

If you’re seen the potential match mentioned anywhere else, please do let me know.

Thanks also to the senior staff member at Aston Villa for getting back to me personally, and for the staff at Celtic FC for answering their fan’s requests in person too.

But, remember, this is just the start of making this match happen.

We must continually keep Stan in our hearts and mind; we’re in it for the long haul with him.

Support Stan.
