Latest Villa Park Protest Planned for the Final Home Game of the Season

Next Villa Park Protest

With zero positive news coming out of the club in the past week in terms of the club’s future or plans for next season, there’s no surprise there will be another round of protest against Randy Lerner’s mismanagement of Aston Villa FC at the last home game of the season against Newcastle.

The club need to start planning and focusing on next season ASAP, or else we’ll begin another season unprepared with the danger of even greater pitfalls.

Normally the last game of the season calls for a lap of honour from the players, or a ‘lap of appreciation’ as it became known, since we’ve been were doing sh**e. Whether that will go ahead on Saturday is debatable.

One thing that is planned though is a pre-match supporter march from the Holte Pub up Trinity Road, which will be followed by more action on the 74th.

In the tradition of public announcements, here’s more info on Saturday’s plans from the Aston Villa Protest Group:

AVPG Statement

Friday 29th April 2016

Protest vs Newcastle.

As the curtain begins to draw on what has become Aston Villa’s worst season in her illustrious history, we need to ensure that this is our darkest hour, that the rot stops here. We must leave Randy Lerner in no doubt that we are organised, passionate and that we are above all prepared. That we no longer accept his ineptitude.

We must continue to strive for change and at the same time, the supporters of this magnificent club have earned the right to let off steam. If this is to be our last opportunity to do so, at the very least for this season, then together we must make it as vibrant as we possibly can.

Our actions vs Newcastle next Saturday (May 7th) will be two-fold:

1) We want you to meet us outside the Holte End pub (Trinity Road side) at 2.20pm for a Supporters March up the Trinity Road to end with a demonstration outside the Directors Entrance. We will bring the cameras, we need you to bring your banners and your lungs. Let our unity in the face of adversity be the their abiding memory of Aston Villa circa 15/16.

2) #InTheAirOn74… A mass release of energy on the 74th minute. The details of which will become clear over the coming week. Watch this space…

Thank you for your continued support. We will see you there.
