After a decent spirited display saw Aston Villa come up short against Manchester City at Wembley in the League Cup final, what can Dean Smith do to turn Villa from gallant losers into winners against the Premier League’s top six teams?

Villa’s next five games are all against Top Six teams, and Villa need at least some wins over them to survive. The bad news is the highest league position team Villa have beaten so far this season is Burnley, who are currently 10th.

After Villa almost overcome giving away two cheap goals against Manchester City in the League Cup final to force extra-time, David and Chris discuss in the podcast what adjustments need to be made from the Wembley line-up and performance, to get some purchase from upcoming fixtures against the likes of Leicester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Wolves and Manchester United in the league.
